Cardoso Luna cut the ribbon to lead the blessing and inauguration of the Bohol Giant Clams Hatchery at the BFAR Facility in Sinandigan, Ubay with CENTCOM Deputy Commander Elie Alberto, BFAR Reg. Dir. Alfeo Piloton, BFAR 8 Juan Albaladejo thru BFAR Guian Center Director Nonita Cabacaba, BISU Dr. Zina Sayson representing Dr. Reguncivilla Pobar, 47IB Commander Col. Joel Malig, DILG Provincial Director John Joan Mende, Provincial Agriculturist and chief of staff Liza Quirog, BEMO head Tata Ganub and Board Member Aga Avenido. The first giant clams hatchery in Bohol allows for the seeding of giant clams in marine protected areas. The convergence project addresses environmental protection and preservation which also contributes to poverty alleviation, both requirements for peace and security. (EDCOM)
